Governing terms for travel arrangements with Bumble Bee Travel
Bumble Bee Travel Sdn. Bhd. is a licensed travel agency based in Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia, holding a valid licence from the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture Malaysia (MOTAC Licence No. 11752) and membership with the Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents (MATTA No. MA6969).
The Company arranges travel services on behalf of the Customer, including flights, accommodation, ground transportation, tours, and related corporate group travel programmes, for domestic and international destinations.
The Company acts as an agent that arranges and coordinates travel services on behalf of the Customer. Airlines, hotels, tour operators, transport providers, and other third-party suppliers are independent contractors, and their own terms and conditions, fare rules, and cancellation policies apply in addition to these Terms & Conditions.
The Company is not the operator of flights, hotels, or tours, and is not liable for the acts, omissions, delays, or service failures of any third-party supplier.
A Booking is confirmed only upon receipt by the Company of written acceptance of the proposal or quotation, together with the required deposit or full payment. Verbal enquiries, draft itineraries, and quotations shared prior to confirmation do not constitute a confirmed Booking. Prices, availability, and inclusions remain subject to change until confirmation.
For group Bookings, a rooming list and participant details (full name as per passport or identification card, date of birth, and any special requirements) must be submitted within the timeline stated in the proposal. Delays in submission of this information may affect pricing, availability, or the ability to proceed with the Booking as planned.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the following payment structure applies to corporate and group Bookings:
Bookings not settled in accordance with the agreed payment schedule may be cancelled or repriced without further notice. Prices quoted are based on rates, exchange rates, and availability at the time of quotation, and remain subject to change until full payment is received and the Booking is confirmed with all suppliers.
Cancellation or amendment of a confirmed Booking must be submitted in writing to the Company. Cancellation charges depend on the specific airlines, hotels, and suppliers involved, as their individual policies apply. The following applies as a general standard:
Applicable cancellation or amendment charges specific to a Booking will be confirmed by the Company before any change is processed.
Each Traveller is responsible for holding a valid passport meeting the minimum validity period required by the destination country, any required visas or electronic travel authorisations, and for meeting all entry, health, and immigration requirements of the destination.
The Company is not responsible for any Traveller being denied boarding, entry, or exit due to incomplete, invalid, or expired travel documents.
Travel insurance is not included in a Booking unless expressly stated in the Booking confirmation. Where travel insurance is included, the terms, coverage, and claims process are governed by the insurance provider and not by the Company.
Arranging adequate travel insurance for the duration of the trip is the responsibility of the Customer and each Traveller.
The Company is not liable for changes, delays, or cancellations arising from circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to:
Additional costs arising from such events, including rebooking fees, extended accommodation, or alternative transport, are borne by the Customer, unless recoverable from the relevant supplier or insurer.
All Travellers are expected to comply with the rules and policies of airlines, hotels, and venues, as well as the laws and customs of the destination country. The Company reserves the right, in consultation with the Customer, to remove any Traveller whose conduct endangers the safety, comfort, or enjoyment of the group, at that Traveller's own cost.
To the fullest extent permitted by Malaysian law, the Company's liability in connection with any Booking is limited to the value of the service fees paid to the Company directly, and does not extend to consequential loss, loss of business, loss of enjoyment, or losses arising from the acts or omissions of third-party suppliers.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under Malaysian law.
Personal data collected in the course of arranging travel services, including passenger names, passport details, dietary requirements, and contact information, is processed in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (Malaysia), and used solely for the purpose of arranging, confirming, and delivering the booked travel services. Personal data is not sold or shared with third parties beyond what is necessary to fulfil a Booking.
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Malaysia, and any disputes arising from them shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.
